Beautifully written, Paul. You saw your portion of life force and witnessed the life-giving force of all creation. An amazing opportunity and experience presented to you a new perception and consciousness!
I came from your YouTube channel and watching your journey. My heart and thought go out to you and yours. Thanks for sharing and know you’re making a difference. Now, go live!!!
I've had an experience quite similar to this one described, it just didn't involve psychadelics. I was meditating quite some time ago and experienced what seemed like a complete dissolution of self, with only memory of a vague experience of a warm and comforting light beyond the odd experience of dissolution, the beginning part. I came back different; it's that alone that really convinced me that it was a bit different than an unusual dream sequence, which is exactly what I think it was, on one level.
I must have written about the experience and effects more elsewhere but it's not something I tend to bring up. I spent many years placing the experience, which never did completely work out. I can draw comparisons to other experiences described in other religious traditions, and I've explore Buddhism quite a bit related to an approach to alter this conventional life experience, more than to actually understand it, but I can't add more about the underlying nature of reality. I can say this: it's my impression that none of us need to fear death, because we aren't these distinct entities anyway, as we seem to be, on a more absolute level. On one level we are but in a more fundamental sense we're just not, we are all integrated parts of a whole, not even separated to the degree it seems we are while we live out this experience.
Enjoyed reading through this, thanks Paul! I don't usually comment on posts, but I thought I'd share something I've found to show truth in a similar way to the energy centered existence you've described. I would say this interview best describes what I personally have come to believe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jL9514rOqNs
